Tony Irving is a Melbourne-based artist who is recognised for his fine figurative work, most notably landscapes and cityscapes.  He is a Realist and master colourist who offers his own unique perspective of a world most of us know well, but rarely notice. In his forthcoming exhibition he turns his acute observation onto urban Melbourne, including icons such as the Skipping Girl sign and Luna Park. His night scenes see the cranes that light the skyline, the freeway overpass that we pass unnoticed and the harsh-lit solitude of the corner store.
