Matthew Rogers is a Sydney born artist who concentrates on the urban environment for his subject matter. He is a viewer of people in everyday situations and his technique of semi elevation or “birds eyeing” of his subjects allows the viewer to put themselves above the crowd of the everyday. The semi abstract patterns, formed by congregating people, are the core of this exhibition and the work is unique in its unusual perspective.
