"The current work has emerged out of an interest in representing crowds - participants in urban life, as they stream together and move apart as they rush through from place to place or group together in anticipation for an event. I steal away moments from these endlessly shifting urban scenes, so as to arrest their mood, pattern, character and pace, and to reveal subtle human relationships."
