Ian Bracegirdle is an oil painter influenced by colonial and   indigenous painters and draws heavily from his journeys in the Australian landscape.  He gains inspiration from recurrent themes of isolation and the awkward, uneasy incursion into unfamiliar and hostile environments.   He is a graduate of the VCA and has held many group and solo exhibitions over the last 25 years.
